Abia State: has Umuahia as its state capital with major towns such as: Aba, Akwette, Bende, Afikpo, Arochukwu. They are blessed with gold, limestone, lead, zinc, crude oil. Abia State also have Yams, Cassava, Oil Palm, and Rubber. Some location of attraction in Abia State include the National War Museum located at Umuahia which is the capital city where leftovers of the popular Nigerian Civil War and the inventions are stored and it is also open for tourists. Aba is a trade center that connects people from all over Nigeria and neighboring countries.

Adamawa State: The state capital of Adamawa is Yola and it has popular towns such as Yola, Mubi, Numan, Jimeta. The natural and agricultural resources found at Adamawa are – Kaolin, Bentonite, Gypsum and Magnesite; others are Guinea Com, Maize, Cattle, Fish, Millet, Cotton. One of the major attractions in the state is the three sisters hill that stand side by side and the sight is a wonder to behold.

Akwa Ibom State: The state capital of Akwa Ibom is Uyo and it has main towns such as Abak, Eket, Etinan, Ikono, Ikot Abasi, Itu, Oron, Uyo, Ikot Ekpene, Ukanafun. At Ikot Abasi you will find some natural sand beaches for recreation too. Anambra State: The state capital is Awka and it has major towns like Onitsha which is a commercial hub, Awka, Njikoko and Amawbia. They are blessed with natural resources such as Iron Ore, Limestone, Coal Fine Clay, Marble and Silica Sand, Lead, Zinc, Petroleum and natural gas, uranium. Others are Cocoa, Palm Oil, Maize, Rice, Cassava.

They also have tourist attractions such as the Ijele masquerade from Aguleri, the famous Omaba festival, the annual Yearly yam festival, the popular Odinani Museum at Nri. The people are highly skilled in arts and craft. The Niger bridge connects Onitsha with ports at Port Harcourt which greatly enhance commercial activities in the region.

Bauchi State: the capital city of Bauchi State is Bauchi and it has main towns like Bauchi, Gombe, Azara, Misau, Jamare, Ningi, Billiri, Dass. They are blessed with natural resources like Coal, Limestone, Petroleum, Tin, Columbite, zink, iron ore, clay, marble, salt, gemstone, gypsum. Others are Coffee, Rice milling. Cross River State: the state capital of Cross River State is Calabar. Calabar city which is one of the Nation’s significant ancient cities have main towns such as Akampa, Ikom, Obubra, Odukpani, Ogoja, Ugep. They are blessed with natural resources such as limestone, uranium, manganes, lead, zinc, salt, crude oil. They also have rich agricultural resources such as fish, shrimps. Edo State: the state capital of Edo is Benin City and it has major towns such as Agbor, Ubiaja, Uromi, Auchi, Ekpoma, Sabongida-Ora. The natural resources found there are marble, Lignite, clay, limestone, iron ore, gypsum, glass sand, gold, dolomite phosphate, bitumen, crude oil. Kano State: the capital city of Kano State is Kano. Other main towns are – Dambatta, Bumel, Gwarzo, Hadejia, Karaye, Kano, Ririwan. Kebbi State: the State capital of Kebbi State is Birmin Kebbi. Other main towns at Kebbi State are Birmin Kebbi, Gwandu. They have natural resources like Gypsum, gold, marble, and Kaolin. Others are agricultural produce like – Millet, wheat and Guinea Corn. Kebbi has Argungu Fishing Festival which is a major international event featuring costumes, cultural dances, drama, motor rally and archery competition. Kogi State: the capital of Kogi State is Lokoja and it has main towns like Lokoja, Okene, Kabba. Their natural resources include – Iron ore, marble, kaolin, gypsum, feldspar, coal, dolomite, talc, tantalite.

Kwara State: the capital of Kwara State is Ilorin and the state has major cities like – Jebba, New Bussa, (Kainji), Offa, Oro, Orru-Aran, Ajase-Ipo, Obange, Bode-Sa’adu, Esie. Lagos State: the capital of Lagos State is Ikeja and the state has other prominent towns like – Ikorodu, Epe, Badagry, Lagos, Mushin, Oshodi, Shomolu. The state has glass, clay and bitumen. Lagos state houses over 60% of the total industrial investment in Nigeria. Over 60% of the commercial activities of the nation also place in the State. Lagos houses the largest seaports of the country namely Apapa and Tin Can Island and over 2000 industries. Tourists visit the Bar Beach, Victoria Island, Badagry, Lekki Penninsula and the National Museum where important artifact such as the traditional Benin Bronzes and the replica of the Festac ’77 symbol are warehoused.

Niger State: the state capital of Niger is Minna and other prominent towns are – Bida, Kontagora, Agaie, Kuta, Lapai, Padogari, Mokwa, Zungeri, Wushishi. Niger is blessed with gold, talc, lead, zinc and rice, Maize, Sorghum, Groundnuts, Millet, Sheanut, Beans, Soya, Cotton. Niger state is another state that is well known for its arts and culture, including hand crafted pottery, glass beads, bangles, mat making, tie and dye, brass works, and embroidery.
